Klept

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026 · Italiano

In short

Klept collects no data. Your screenshots and photos never leave your iPhone or iPad. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

Who publishes Klept

Klept is published by Daniele Arcuri, an individual developer based in Italy. Contact: info@danielearcuri.com.

What Klept does with your photos

With your permission, Klept reads the photo library on your iPhone or iPad to find your screenshots and organise them. The reading of the text in an image, the choice of tags and the search index are all done on your iPhone or iPad, using Apple's recognition tools built into iOS and iPadOS and a recognition model that is part of the app. Klept stores imported copies and analysis results in its separate private local library on your device. Importing does not move or organise the originals in Photos.

No photo, image, tag, text or search is ever sent to us or to anyone else.

Internet connection

Klept has no servers and does not send your content over the internet. The only communication that involves the app is with the App Store, run by Apple, when you buy or restore Klept Pro.

Optional app lock

You can enable protection in Klept settings. Face ID or Touch ID, with your device passcode as a fallback, is handled entirely by iOS or iPadOS: Klept only receives a yes or no from the system and never has access to your biometric data.

Purchases

Klept is free for 40 unique screenshot imports in total. Deleting an import does not reset the allowance. Klept Pro is a one-time purchase that removes the limit; the price in your currency is shown before purchase. The payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details, your Apple ID or your name.

No analytics, no tracking, no third parties

Klept contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking tools from third parties, and it does not track you across other apps or websites. If you have turned on “Share With App Developers” in your device’s analytics settings, Apple may give us anonymous, aggregated crash reports; they cannot be linked to you.

Backups

If you back up your iPhone or iPad with iCloud or a computer, the backup may include Klept's data on your device. That backup is yours and is managed by Apple according to your device settings. It is not available to us.

Deleting your data

Everything Klept keeps lives on your iPhone or iPad. Deleting the app removes all of it. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing to delete on our side.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you may ask to access, correct or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to provide; you are welcome to write to us to confirm it.

Children

Klept does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If Klept ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and its date before the change reaches you. Klept will never send your photos off your iPhone or iPad without asking for your explicit consent first.
